Meling said Ex-certified robots like ANYmal X are necessary to operate offshore, and that "the test provided a qualified experience to continue progressing and helped the team learn a lot."
Petronas' robotics manager reported the robot successfully climbed the platform's stairs and mapped the site despite 17-knot winds, though the platform had to be kept hydrocarbon-free beforehand since this unit lacked Ex-certification.
