How much does a humanoid robot cost in 2026?
Humanoid robots that are actually on sale range from around $4,900–$5,900 (Unitree R1) to $150,000+ for full-size research platforms. Most announced Western humanoids (Tesla Optimus, Figure 03) are not publicly for sale yet — the prices you see quoted for them are targets or analyst estimates, and we label them as such.
What is the cheapest humanoid robot you can buy?
As of 2026-08, the cheapest genuinely purchasable humanoid in our index is Unitree R1 at $4,900–$5,900. Chinese manufacturers (Unitree, EngineAI, Booster) dominate the affordable end of the market.
Can you buy a Tesla Optimus or Figure robot?
Not yet. Tesla Optimus and Figure 03 are deployed in their makers' own and partner facilities; neither has public retail sales. Announced target prices (around $20,000–30,000 for Optimus) are goals, not offers. Our index marks these models "Not sold yet" and records the best-documented estimate instead.
How much does a robot dog cost?
Consumer quadrupeds start at $1,600 (Unitree Go2), while industrial-grade platforms like Boston Dynamics Spot run $75,000+. The gap is payload, IP rating, autonomy software and support — not marketing.
Where do these prices come from?
Three evidence classes, in order of strength: manufacturer stores and published price lists, verified distributor and reseller quotes, and documented estimates when a robot is not on sale. Each entry says which class it belongs to and carries an "as of" date — see the methodology page.
