AgiBot overtook Unitree in H1 2026 shipments — its lineup is also the cheaper one to actually buy

Industry shipment data for the first half of 2026 shows AgiBot passing Unitree as the largest humanoid vendor by volume: roughly 8,400 units shipped versus Unitree’s 5,900, a 44%-to-31% split of a global market that grew 272% year-on-year to about 19,100 units. AgiBot’s growth came from a wider product spread — full-size bipedal A-series, half-size X-series, wheeled G-series — rather than one hero SKU.
The number worth separating from the headline: how much of that volume is actually purchasable at a posted price, versus shipped under enterprise contracts nobody outside the deal can price. On that count AgiBot compares reasonably well to the company it just passed. Its A2 Lite lists at $44,560 through AgiBot’s own online store — battery, charger, e-stop and a 1-year warranty included, shipping and duties extra. The open-source X1 developer kit runs from around $19,499 through distributors, cheaper still if a lab builds from AgiBot’s published CAD files. Its D1-series quadrupeds start at $3,200. None of that touches the flagship A2 Ultra, which AgiBot still sells enterprise-only with no public number.
That’s the same split Unitree runs on: a $13,500 G1 and $4,900 R1 AIR sold openly, next to pricier configurations quoted case by case. What the shipment swing changes is less about pricing and more about who’s actually filling factory floors and research labs at those list prices right now. Shipment counts don’t tell you the mix between $3,200 quadrupeds and $190,000 full A2 configurations — a company can lead on units while trailing on revenue, and neither total says much about margin. If you’re comparing the two on cost, the store prices above are the only numbers to trust; the volume race is a separate story about who’s winning distribution, not who’s cheaper.
