Agility wouldn't price Digit v5 — its SEC filing did: $200,000 or $8,500/month
Last week Agility Robotics unveiled Digit v5 — a cage-free warehouse humanoid with a 40% payload bump — and declined to put a number on it. This week a number showed up anyway, in a document Agility didn’t get to keep quiet: the Form S-4 it filed with the SEC on September 4 ahead of its SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI.
Buried in the “Digit v5 Unit Economics” section, labeled illustrative rather than a price list, are two concrete paths to a robot. Robots-as-a-service runs $8,500 a month (about $102,000 a year) plus a one-time $25,000 deployment fee, with Agility keeping ownership and billing $15,000 a year for its own delivery and maintenance costs. Buying one outright costs roughly $200,000 up front, plus $20,000 to deploy it and $36,000 a year for Arc software and maintenance.
The filing also shows Agility’s own cost side, which is the more interesting number for anyone tracking whether humanoid economics actually work: building a Digit v5 costs about $150,000 today, a figure Agility says it can cut to $75,000 at 1,000 units a year and $30,000 at 10,000 units a year — the kind of manufacturing curve the whole industry is betting on and few have shown numbers for.
None of this is a list price a customer can call up and get quoted — it’s a projection built for prospective shareholders, not buyers, and Agility flags in the same document that actual contract terms are negotiated and may not hit these assumptions. But it’s the first real figure attached to Digit v5, and it lands close to what the current-generation Digit already fetches through the same RaaS structure. Early access starts in the first half of 2027; general availability, including the EU and UK for the first time, isn’t promised until the end of that year. Until then, this filing is the only price signal that exists.
