An'An Panda lands in Europe at $1,000-$1,500 — more than double its earlier estimate
Shenzhen-based Mind With Heart Robotics used IFA Berlin’s Robots on the Runway showcase to confirm European pricing for its An’An Panda: $1,000-$1,500 per unit, through distributor agreements newly signed in Germany and Belgium. That’s a real number attached to a real sale, which puts it ahead of most companion-robot “launches” — but it’s also more than double the under-$600 figure Forbes reported after CES in January, a reminder that early consumer-robot price previews routinely undershoot what a company actually charges once a real distribution channel is in place.
An’An is a soft-bodied, panda-shaped companion robot aimed at elderly support and emotional wellness, built around full-body tactile sensing — the company says it responds to touch with gentle movement and feedback rather than a screen or a voice assistant shell. A separate B2B configuration adds a behavioral-tracking dashboard for care providers, priced separately and not disclosed in the launch materials.
The bigger caveat is scale: the first production run is only 100 units, described as samples for immediate shipment to business partners rather than open retail stock. That’s a soft launch through two distributors, not a storefront anyone can order from today. Whether $1,000-$1,500 holds once volume production starts, or moves again the way the CES estimate did, is the number worth watching next.
For now, An’An sits in a nearly empty part of our index: companion robots marketed for elderly care or emotional support almost never publish a real price before shipping.
