Deep Robotics' new Lynx S10 is 40% lighter than the M20 — and still has no price

Deep Robotics has a new wheel-legged quadruped, and for now the only way to get one is to ask. The Lynx S10 cuts weight to about 19 kg — roughly 40% under the existing Lynx M20’s 33 kg — while keeping the M20’s party trick: legs that fold into wheels for fast, efficient rolling on flat ground and switch back to walking for stairs and rubble. Deep Robotics rates it for 5 m/s on wheels, an 8 kg payload, IP66 sealing, a -20°C to 55°C operating range, and about three hours of runtime across 16 km on a charge.

The distribution story is as notable as the hardware. On July 30, ELSA Japan announced it had secured exclusive Japanese sales rights for the S10, and pre-orders opened August 3 through ELSA’s site — with deliveries promised from November 2026. Outside Japan, Deep Robotics hasn’t listed the S10 on its own site with a price; both the manufacturer and ELSA quote it strictly by inquiry.

That’s a meaningfully different sales motion from the M20, which already circulates through US distributors at list prices around $60,000 for the standard wheel-legged configuration and roughly $61,200 for the Pro variant with dual LiDAR. A lighter, cheaper-to-build S10 built for “single-operator deployment” reads like a machine aimed at a lower price point than the M20 — but until a real quote surfaces, that’s a guess, not a number. We’ve added the S10 to the index at not-for-sale pricing and will update it the moment a distributor publishes a figure.

The pattern is familiar from this category: hardware ships to reviewers and demo floors well before anyone outside a home market can just add one to a cart. Deep Robotics’ own Lynx M20 took a similar path — CES award, distributor listings, US pricing — over the better part of a year. Whether the S10 compresses that timeline, especially with a live Japanese order channel already running, is the thing worth watching next.
