Flourish 1 Opens Pre-Orders at $3,555 for a Wheeled Home Robot

Flourish Robots, a startup split between San Francisco and Paris, opened pre-orders on September 29 for Flourish 1 at $3,555. Only the first 50 units are on offer, and deliveries are planned to begin in December 2026. Nothing has shipped yet, so this is a pre-order, not a product you can buy off the shelf.

The price makes more sense once you read the spec sheet. Flourish 1 is a wheeled robot with two arms, not a walking humanoid. Press coverage puts it at roughly 3 ft 7 in (about 109 cm) and 44 lb (about 20 kg), with up to 12 hours of runtime. Its payload is 3.3 lb, about 1.5 kg. Founder and CEO Antoine Marcel says that is deliberate: the robot carries little, is not waterproof, and is built around home chores rather than factory-grade hardware, which “lets us simplify the hardware dramatically and reduce cost.”

The pitch is teaching by smartphone. Owners demonstrate a task through a mobile app and, per the company, the robot learns it in about 30 minutes without coding. Listed chores include putting shoes away, moving laundry to a basket, throwing out trash, wiping tables and watering plants. Dishwasher loading is listed as teachable, while unloading, table setting and food preparation are still planned. These are manufacturer claims; no independent testing exists, and we’d treat the chore list as a roadmap until units are in owners’ hands.

Where does it sit on price? It undercuts every walking humanoid in the index by a wide margin, but it isn’t the same class of machine. Developer platforms such as Feather start near $30,000 for two 7-DoF arms and a far larger work envelope. The home-robot price points people actually compare against are the $20,000 range for early-access humanoids; see our under-$25,000 humanoid list for what is really orderable.

Our read: $3,555 is a believable price for a light, wheeled, low-payload machine, and a bold one for a company with no shipped units. The test is December. We have it in the index as preorder, and we’ll update it when deliveries start or the price moves.
