Unitree's H2-X security humanoid: 8-hour runtime, no price

Unitree has shown a new H2 variant, the H2-X, pitched at security patrol, protection and emergency response. Press coverage of the demo says Unitree posted it on its own X account this month and quotes a runtime of about eight hours per charge, against roughly three hours for the base H2.

That is the whole verified picture. We found no price, no order page and no shipping date for the H2-X. We also could not confirm its height, weight or degrees of freedom. Coverage describes the H2 platform as about 180 cm, 70 kg and 31 DoF, but does not say whether the H2-X matches those figures. We have not added the H2-X to the index. A model with no price and no purchase path is not an index entry, and the dataset only carries models we can source.

What the base H2 costs today

The H2 is the number that can be checked. It lists at $29,900 on Unitree’s international store, which showed it out of stock as of mid-2026. US resellers list it from about $40,900. The index’s H2 page carries the full range and the dated note.

Why the 8-hour figure matters

Runtime is where humanoids lose their business case. Three hours means swapping or charging several times in a single shift. Eight hours covers a full patrol shift on one charge, which is what a security buyer would need. It would also change the running-cost arithmetic in our 3-year budget guide, though only if the figure holds up in a real deployment and comes with a price.

We can’t tell yet what drives the gain. It might be a bigger battery, a swappable pack or a changed power system. Each would come with a different cost and weight, and none is documented.

Our read

Unitree has now shown several machines in a row without a price, including the Superman prototype. That is typical for a company that has just listed on the Shanghai exchange and wants to keep attention on its product line. A demo does not tell you the cost. If you need a humanoid today, the shipping options are the G1 and the base H2. Check the Unitree company page for the full lineup.

We will add the H2-X once Unitree publishes a price or a store listing.
