Unitree cut prices across its lineup ahead of the IPO — the floor for humanoids is now under $5,000

Unitree spent 2026 doing what it does best: making everyone else’s price list look embarrassing. Ahead of its IPO, the company cut prices across the whole line — and the effects show up throughout our index.

The headline number is the R1: $5,900 for the standard version and $4,900 for the R1 AIR, now sold globally — including, remarkably, on AliExpress. That makes a walking, cartwheeling humanoid cheaper than a used car, and it resets what “entry-level humanoid” means for every competitor.

The G1 holds at $13,500 for the base 23-DoF configuration, with EDU configurations through US resellers running $43,900–73,900. On four legs, the Go2 Air now starts at $1,600.

Why it matters: most Western humanoids still have no public price at all. While Tesla and Figure talk about $20,000 targets, Unitree publishes numbers you can click “buy” on today. The gap between announced targets and shipping products is the single most important thing to understand about robot pricing in 2026 — and it is exactly what this index tracks.
