AMR Cost 2026: What Warehouse Robots Actually Cost

How much does an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) cost? As of August 2026, the honest answer is: usually, nobody outside the sale will tell you. Of the five industrial AMRs we track in the index, only one — the Pudu T300 at $20,990 — has a public sticker price. The rest are sold by quote, by subscription, or both, with figures that only exist as estimates once you start asking distributors directly.

That is not evasion so much as how the category works. An AMR is rarely a standalone purchase — it is a line item inside a fleet, a software license, and an integration project, and the hardware price alone tells you less than it would for a robot dog or a desktop cobot. Here is everything we have documented, and what the quote-only pattern actually means for a buyer.

Why AMR prices hide: this is a fleet product, not a gadget

The pattern across our data is consistent, and it is different from most categories on this site. A Unitree Go2 or a Dobot CR5 is a single unit you can add to a cart. An AMR almost never ships that way. Three structural reasons show up across all five models:

Payload and top-module variation. MiR’s own guidance is explicit: final cost “depends heavily on top modules (lifts, conveyors, hooks)” layered on the base MiR250 chassis. The bare robot and the working robot are different purchases, and the top module can rival the chassis in cost.

Fleet software is not optional. Every vendor here bundles a management layer into the real cost: MiR Fleet, Geek+’s Robot Management System, LocusOne, AGILOX’s X-Swarm intelligence. You are not buying a robot: you are buying a robot plus the software that makes ten or a hundred of them coordinate, which is a licensing negotiation, not a SKU.

Volume changes the number more than spec does. A single Geek+ P1200R prices differently from a ten-unit deployment of the same model, because Geek+ sells the P-series project-based rather than per-unit. The listed $35,000–66,000 range for the P-series reflects configuration (the 1,200 kg P1200R sits at the top) as much as it reflects negotiating leverage.

None of this is unique to AMRs — industrial arms and enterprise humanoids show the same quote-only pattern — but AMRs add a fourth wrinkle industrial arms mostly don’t: several vendors will not sell you the hardware outright at all.

RaaS: when there is no purchase price because there is no purchase

Locus Origin is the clearest case in our index of a robot with genuinely no capex price, because Locus does not sell it as capex. The Origin is deployed exclusively under a Robots-as-a-Service model: hardware, the LocusOne software, integration and support bundled into one monthly rate. Press reporting places typical RaaS pricing at roughly $2,000–4,000 per robot per month on 12–36 month terms, with the equivalent hardware value estimated separately at $25,000–50,000 per unit — a number you would only ever see if you did the math yourself, since Locus doesn’t sell you the box.

AGILOX ONE offers a milder version of the same idea: alongside individually quoted purchase pricing, AGILOX explicitly markets financing and short-term rental from one to twelve months as an alternative to buying outright.

The logic for a buyer is straightforward once you see it stated plainly. RaaS turns a five- or six-figure capital purchase into an operating expense that scales with your actual fleet size and can be turned off. It also means you never own an asset that depreciates against a software roadmap you don’t control — the vendor bears that risk instead, and prices accordingly. For a first deployment or a seasonal peak (holiday warehouse volume, a trial pilot), that trade is often worth more than the multi-year cost of ownership math would suggest on paper. For a permanent, high-utilization installation, a straight purchase — where available — usually wins on total cost, assuming you can get a number at all.

Pudu T300 — $20,990

The T300 is the outlier in this category for a simple reason: it is the only one of the five with an open, purchasable US reseller listing. At 300 kg payload, it undercuts every other model here on both price and pricing transparency, and Pudu also offers it under RaaS terms for buyers who’d rather not commit capital. Geek+ P1200R — $35,000 to $66,000 (estimated)

The P1200R is a goods-to-person system at the top of Geek+’s P-series, rated for 1,200 kg. No official list price exists because Geek+ sells project-based; the $35,000–66,000 band comes from distributor listings across the P-series, with the flagship P1200R sitting at the upper end. Budget for the Geek+ RMS fleet software and workstation infrastructure on top — this figure is the robot, not the system.

Locus Origin — $2,000–4,000/month (estimated)

Origin is a 36 kg payload picking robot sold exclusively through the RaaS model described above. There is no purchase price to quote, only a monthly rate that press estimates put in the $2,000–4,000 range on multi-year terms. Treat the $25,000–50,000 equivalent hardware estimate as a way to sanity-check the subscription math, not as a number Locus will confirm.

MiR250 — no public price

MiR sells exclusively through its distributor network on a request-a-quote basis, and no US distributor listing shows a public number for the MiR250. At 250 kg payload and a compact 30 cm height, it is the smallest-footprint AMR here, but the price depends almost entirely on which top module you attach and how many units you order.

AGILOX ONE — no public price

The heaviest-duty machine on this page, rated for 1,000 kg payload, AGILOX quotes the ONE individually with no published list price. What differentiates it in our data is the explicit financing and 1–12 month rental option — a route to the robot without a capital purchase, distinct from Locus’s all-in RaaS bundle.

How to get a real number out of a quote-only AMR vendor

  1. Separate the chassis from the top module before you ask. MiR’s own guidance flags top modules as a major cost swing; ask for the bare-chassis price and the accessory price as two line items, not one blended figure.
  2. Ask whether fleet software is licensed per robot or per site. This decides whether your unit economics improve or stay flat as you scale the fleet — and it is exactly the kind of term that doesn’t show up until you ask.
  3. Get a RaaS quote even if you intend to buy. Locus and AGILOX both make the operating-expense path explicit; running that number against a capex quote for a comparable payload class (even from a different vendor) gives you a floor and ceiling before you negotiate.
  4. Price the pilot separately from the fleet. Volume moves Geek+’s number and likely everyone else’s. A quote for one robot is not a preview of the per-unit price at ten.
