Humanoid Robots Under $30,000 in 2026: What You Can Actually Buy

Two years ago, a humanoid under $30,000 was a slide in a keynote. In October 2026 it is a shopping category with a dozen entries. But “listed under $30,000” covers very different things: a robot with a checkout button, a reservation with a refundable deposit, and a base price that excludes the SDK you actually need. This guide sorts the ones in our index by what you can really do with the money. Prices are as of the index’s latest verification; where a figure comes from a distributor rather than the maker, we say so.
The list, cheapest first
| Robot | Entry price | Status | Height / DoF |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unitree R1 | $4,150 (China) – $5,900 (global) | For sale | 121 cm / 26 |
| Booster K1 | $5,999 | For sale | 95 cm / 22 |
| Weave Isaac 1 | $7,999 or $449/mo | Pre-order | wheeled, 91–175 cm |
| Galbot ET1 | ~$11,100 (79,000 CNY) | Pre-order | 125 cm / 26 |
| Unitree G1 | $13,500 | For sale | 132 cm / 23 |
| Unitree G1+ | $15,000 | For sale | 134 cm / 25 |
| Fourier N1 | ~$16,000 (distributor) | For sale | 130 cm / 23 |
| AgiBot X1 | ~$19,499 (distributor) | For sale | 130 cm / 34 |
| 1X NEO | $20,000 or $499/mo | Pre-order | 165 cm |
| EngineAI PM01 | $20,000–26,000 | For sale | 138 cm / 24 |
| Booster T1 | ~$22,000 (China base) | For sale | 118 cm / 23 |
| NEURA 4NE1 Mini | ~$23,100 (EUR 19,999) | Pre-order | 132 cm / 25 |
| AgiBot X2 | $24,240 | For sale | 131 cm / 25 |
| Dobot Atom | ~$27,500 | Pre-order | 153 cm / 28 |
| Unitree H2 | $29,900 (store; out of stock mid-2026) | For sale | 180 cm / 31 |
Note the pattern: almost everything in the first half is 95–135 cm tall. Full-size, adult-height humanoids only appear at the top of the band, and then with caveats — the H2’s $29,900 store price is listed as out of stock, and US resellers list it from $40,900.
Under $10,000: Unitree and Booster own the floor
The Unitree R1 is the cheapest full humanoid on open sale. Unitree cut its China starting price from 39,900 to 29,900 CNY (~$4,150) in June 2026; global retail through AliExpress runs $4,900 to $5,900. That is still a 121 cm, 25 kg machine — a platform for research, teaching and demos, not a worker. See our Unitree price guide for the full ladder.
The Booster K1 is smaller (95 cm, 19.5 kg) at $5,999 for the Geek edition. The $4,999 launch promotion was time-limited. The higher Education and Professional editions carry no public price.
Weave Isaac 1 cheats the category honestly: it has wheels, not legs, which is exactly how it gets to $7,999. Deliveries are promised for fall 2026; treat it as a pre-order until units are in homes.
$10,000–20,000: the developer tier
The Unitree G1 at $13,500 and the G1+ at $15,000 are the reference robots for this tier — the most widely deployed small humanoids in labs. The catch is in the price note: $13,500 is the base 23-DoF configuration. EDU versions with secondary-development access run $43,900–73,900 through US resellers. If your project needs the SDK, budget for the EDU, not the base.
The AgiBot X1 and Fourier N1 are priced from distributor listings, not manufacturer lists. Both have fully published hardware designs, so a lab can self-build from the open files at component cost — the distributor price is what you pay for not doing that.
$20,000–30,000: bigger bodies, more caveats
The 1X NEO is the one consumer-facing robot here: $20,000 Early Access ($200 deposit, US-only, 2026 delivery) or $499/month. It learns some household tasks partly through teleoperation, and international sales start in 2027. It is a pre-order, not a product on a shelf.
EngineAI PM01, Booster T1 (US resellers: $29,800–$50,925), AgiBot X2 ($24,240 on the maker’s global store, shipping extra at roughly $500–3,000) and Dobot Atom round out the tier. Regional spread matters: the T1 is ~$22,000 in China but $29,800 and up in the US.
Also worth noting: EngineAI’s T800 lists from ~$25,000 but is sold only in China, and LimX Oli starts at about $21,800 in China with reseller EDU pricing at $70,499.
What the sticker price leaves out
- Configuration. Base prices often exclude grippers, hands, SDK access and extra batteries.
- Shipping and duties. AgiBot quotes $500–3,000 shipping; customs and taxes are the buyer’s.
- Region. The same robot costs materially more through US resellers than in China. There are also US import restrictions on some Chinese humanoids, which can affect availability.
- Runtime. Batteries are rated at 1–3 hours for most of this list. See humanoid running costs.
- Capability. None of these is a warehouse worker. Payloads are 0.5–3 kg where published.
What is not on this list
Tesla’s Optimus and Figure 03 are repeatedly quoted at “$20,000–30,000”. Those are stated long-term targets, not offers: Optimus has no order channel and Figure 03 has no public price. See our humanoid cost guide for the full picture, and the for-sale list for what is purchasable at every price.
FAQ
What is the cheapest humanoid robot you can buy?
The Unitree R1: about $4,150 in China and $4,900–5,900 globally. It is a 121 cm developer and education platform.
Can a $20,000 humanoid do housework?
Not unsupervised. The 1X NEO is the one aimed at homes and relies partly on teleoperation for tasks it has not learned. Everything else under $30,000 is a research, education or demo platform.
Why do prices differ so much between China and the US?
Different channels, tariffs and markups. Booster T1 is about $22,000 in China and $29,800–$50,925 through US resellers; the Unitree H2 is $29,900 in the maker’s store but from $40,900 at US resellers.
Is a pre-order the same as buying?
No. Pre-orders carry delivery risk; K-Scale’s K-Bot took preorders at $8,999 and the company shut down in 2025, refunding deposits. Prefer refundable deposits.
